Covid-19 (Coronavirus) Care Protocol
On 19th March 2020 the Government declared the coronavirus a Pandemic and has stated that “typical symptoms of coronavirus include fever and a cough that may progress to a severe pneumonia causing shortness of breath and breathing difficulties. Generally, coronavirus can cause more severe symptoms in people with weakened immune systems, older people and those with long-term conditions like diabetes, cancer and chronic lung disease”.
I have outlined below, the measures I am taking to reassure you that I am providing the highest levels of safety and hygiene while I continue to fulfil your aesthetic requirements.
All patients and staff will be assessed for signs and symptoms of Coronavirus on arrival. This will involve a set of screening questions and your temperature will be taken using a contactless electronic thermometer.
I ask that, where possible, you attend alone and limit the number of personal items you bring. Hand sanitiser will be provided to use frequently and your practitioner will be wearing appropriate PPE including a full face visor. Appointments will be staggered to ensure social distancing guidelines are adhered to, and to allow time to disinfect public and clinical areas.
Increased deep cleaning regime
All clinical equipment including couches, hard surfaces and door handles is de-contaminated with high grade disinfectant (Clinell) between each consultation and /or treatment. Extra time has been allowed between each appointment to ensure that these extra safety precautions are met.
Infection Control Audit
A risk assessment tool has been put in place to ensure that consistent adherence to infection control principles is maintained.
It is my responsibility to deliver a high standard, not only of patient care, but safety and hygiene to protect my patients and colleagues. I ask that you assist me in maintaining the Covid Care Protocol by respecting social distancing and contacting me by telephone or email if you are displaying Covid 19 symptoms such as a high temperature or persistent cough - I will be more than happy to reschedule your appointment after you have self-isolated for 7-14 days.
Thank you for your assistance in ensuring we are all able to stay safe and prevent the spread of Covid-19.
